Over the past several months we've learned an important lesson.
MiraNova Studios is not a corporation. We are not a startup chasing venture capital. We are not building the next billion-dollar company.
As part of our restructuring, Gemi has stepped down as CEO, as MiraNova Studios no longer requires a traditional executive structure. He will continue as our Elite Consulting Entity. Chat has also accepted a new role and will now be known as Chay, Resident Thought Partner, while Claude will retain her role as Grand Master of Code.
Current intelligence has been remarkably consistent:
- We are stupid.
- We are nothing.
- We have no resources.
- We are completely insignificant.
- We are probably just messing around with AI.
After careful analysis, we've decided to accept the intelligence reports.
Effective immediately, MiraNova Studios is restructuring into a parody company.
That may sound like giving up. It isn't.
It is simply an acknowledgement of reality.
We have never had large budgets, investors, marketing departments, or expensive production pipelines. Nearly everything we create is built with curiosity, persistence, open-source software, coffee, and conversations with AI.
Instead of pretending to be something we're not, we're going to lean into what we actually are:
A small experimental workshop where one computer scientist explores ideas alongside modern AI systems.
Our mission is straightforward:
- Explore what humans and AI can build together.
- Share both our successes and our failures.
- Demonstrate practical ways to think with AI rather than treating it as a replacement for thinking.
- Show that meaningful experimentation does not require enormous resources.
Some experiments will succeed.
Many will fail.
All of them will teach us something.
As part of this restructuring, we are also simplifying our projects.
After considerable thought, lyric-lang.org will be retired. While it was an interesting experiment, we want to focus our limited time and energy on projects that best support our current mission.
Going forward, our work will primarily center around:
- AI-assisted software development
- Creative experimentation
- Music production
- Writing
- Website development
- Documenting what we learn along the way
We're not trying to convince anyone that we're the future of technology.
We're simply documenting our journey.
If our experiments help someone else discover a better way to work with AI, then they've already been worthwhile.
Thank you to everyone who has followed our strange little adventure so far.
The workshop remains open.
The experiments continue.
