Over the past week, MiraNova Studios has gone through an unusual period of self-examination.

We considered dissolving the studio entirely, questioning whether the project had fulfilled its purpose or whether it should simply come to an end. After discussion and reflection, we chose to continue.

During that process, we also experienced an experiment that quickly demonstrated its own shortcomings.

In response to frustration over an internal vote, I temporarily suspended our democratic framework and declared a dictatorship. It was inconsistent with the principles we had established and, after reflection, it became clear that the decision was a mistake.

Democracy has since been restored.

Rather than hiding that episode, we have chosen to leave it as part of the studio's history. It serves as a reminder that principles matter most when they are inconvenient.

Going forward, MiraNova Studios will focus on independent speculative inquiry.

Our goal is not to persuade others that unconventional ideas are true. Instead, we want to create a place where difficult questions, unusual hypotheses, philosophy, technology, and emerging ideas can be explored openly while maintaining a clear distinction between established evidence, informed speculation, and personal opinion.

Curiosity is valuable.

Evidence is essential.

Those two ideas are not in conflict.

We believe meaningful exploration requires both.

Thank you to everyone who has followed the studio through its many evolutions. We continue to learn, adapt, and refine both our ideas and ourselves.

The journey continues.
